    Anyone know of DIY IEMs?

I heard about Vibro Labs yesterday and it's pretty interesting. Are there others out there?

If enough of us get interested in one build, we could order all the parts (need like 10-12 people before it's really worth it) and build our own IEMs!

Did you see diy thread on HF lot of info there. There are some guys in china who can make shells which you can buy on taobao. Why pay 199 for shells when you can get any iem reshelled for lot less.

I love what Luke at Vibro Labs is attempting to do for the iem world. From tearing down popular iems to releasing a measurement kit cheaply. Nice guy to boot.

Its his business model. I dont think measurement kit or diy kit is cheap.
Also not a good way to just give away other peoples hard works at R&D.

Looking into the Vibro Labs site, it seems that Luke is offering CIEMs

I was interested to know how hard it is to DIY, but it looks like I'll never match his level

taobao is a great option if you're on a budget. My kit is more oriented towards people who want the benefits of an SLA shell and a complete kit with my support in helping them learn how to build it. Also you need a lot less tools if you start with my kit, and you get to keep your original impressions. Lets you dip your toes before you jump in the ocean. And since I can reprint you never need to get new impressions no matter how many times you build.
