Try wrapping the Pi2AES in tinfoil.
I thought about that, I have some mesh copper RF shielding cloth, but wouldn't that or tin foil block the wifi?
Yeah it probably would, I assumed you had it hooked up with ethernet. I found my Pi2AES more reliable over ethernet.
Nope. Zero noises here and i have wifi turned on. I would imagine more people would have reacted before if it was a general issue. Not my SW51 or the Crimson.

Mercury V2 Update -
75 Mercury V2 Streamers are now available with ~1 week delivery (we have to do a little assembly work and testing before shipment). After this we don't know when we'll have them again. Our order for 200 CM4 compute modules placed last September has a current ETA of Dec. 21 this year. That was already pushed out from the original of August.
I am coming around to the idea of creating a new version of the PI2AES. It would have the same features as the old one, but without the parallel output, and would not have the wide input voltage. Instead, powering would be just like the LITE, in that you could power from the pi or power separately, but not power the pi from the hat.
This allows me to avoid the chips that were obsolete and/or very difficult to get over the last two years. Pricing would be $299, but it would come with the acrylic case (7” LCD case would be $25 more). And of course you would not need to add a power supply if you were powering it from the pi.
Just looking to gather a little bit of feedback here.
By Pi2AES without the parallel output do you mean without the I2S output? I think that would be a great idea. I ended up getting a Mercury streamer from the SBAF sale forum, but when I was researching streamers I couldn't get my self to buy the lite knowing the Pi2AES existed.
Would this product be in addition to the LITE, or replacing it? I don't think there would be enough of a difference to justify producing both (and the pricing is pretty close).
With I2S over HDMI (PS or Gustard pinout), but without the 16-pin header. And it would replace the LITE. Also we would look at offering a trade up to any LITE owner. Just paying the difference plus shipping.
Question... would this still support/power a Rpi display without the header? and if so, would you be making a case that supports the display?
this is gonna be a hit. I feel like people went used pi2 or Mercury v1 over LITE bc of bal AES alone—plus the price is right, too & Pi 3 and 4 prices have also started to fall from their exponential surge (due to global supply chains)/actually be in stock now.
Good point. I will add a two pin header (5V and GND) for the display. That way it can use the LCD case e we already have. Note that the 2.0 will use the same cases as the previous version. Not sure about black though.
PI2AES 2.0 with 2-pin header for LCD. Note this is connected to the PI side of the 5V, not the PI2AES optional 5V in.

Significant improvement in soundstage presentation and imaging. Sound on all frequencies has more clarity and control.
Bundled with Denon PMA 800 AMP, i managed to neutralize sound forwardness (sometimes annoying and tiring) of Klipsch 600M Speakers.

Decided to do 100 PI2AES 2.0 out of the gate. A small risk, but we've done a through review and it's all known circuitry. End of March to be in our hands. Probably start taking orders beginning of March. I need to get the docs in order first.
Asked this in the All Purpose Advice thread, but thought it wouldn't hurt to ask here too—what is the consensus, if there is one, on better power supplies for the Pi2AES that result in some improvements, however subtle?
I'm trying to eek the most out of my Pi2 and I have a budget of $100-150 to do it. Is this even viable?
I had the opportunity to buy another Pi2aes with a noise nuke. I'd try that if you can build one. I wouldn't spend hundreds on powersupply things until I have all other upstream gear maxed out. Those are sort of the final things you do IMO. To be honest the changes in power supplies makes things more different than better sometimes.
