Foreword: The FXA7 is a 2BA 1DD hybrid by Fender, derived from Aurisonic's ASG series (but apparently diverging from their sound). This unit has been graciously loaned by @shotgunshane. Frequency Response Impulse CSD THD Impedance Response Analysis V-shaped signature. Quite a bit of treble energy and bass power but not overwhelmingly so, IMO. Minor nitpicks in the channel matching of the bass frequencies, but other than that it's spot-on. Long fluctuations in impulse. Will have to try to correlate an audio quality to this characteristic. Bass is rather quick for a hybrid. Midbass is the main focus of the lower frequencies. Not stellar THD, but passable. Very stable with impedance. Should be expected of hybrids at this point. Overall, I quite like the FXA7. Expected recessed mids due to the V-shaped sound, but a very enjoyable listen still.
