It always seemed weird that Dekoni ended up getting the IF measurement rig. They had the graph of their headphone with that measurement rig but that was the only thing I saw from them.

if Stereophile is willing to sell the site and assets to Crin, and then if Dekoni sells the measurement rig. It would be like getting the band back together.

Audiostream, the other Rafe run site, also redirecting to Stereophile. Neither are listed under Stereophile’s “Other sites”.

SBAF is my last remaining connection to the world of audio (and I keep it because the people are so interesting: I'm too deaf for the audio) so I wasn't aware, but is there a known story to Rafe's departure? He's nothing less than a vandal, and I am not above laughing at his undoing.

@Biodegraded @jowls Will make a thread later on. It’s a two-parter mod, first part’s easy and reversible while the second part is irreversible and requires a microphone and a bit of tinkering to get proper channel matching.

2k iems compete with 1k iems in audio quality, it's a weirdly skewed market.

Kind of a shame really, since if it weren't for the massive premium of "good" IEMs over headphones I'd probably abandon circumaurals altogether (or not really, they're comfy as hell and look cool), maybe get some bookshelf speakers at home to complement.
