*friends only, you pay shipping, see below.

Priced to get out from under my desk. These are great desktop speakers for someone who just wants something to put decent sound into a space. Consider them the ATH-MX0 of bookshelf speakers. They won't make you cream your jeans (or khakis, or kilt, or whatever), but they are solid performers for the price even if a little bassy (I cannot speak to their popularity on reddit). The speakers and the stands are sitting in a box under my desk since I got my lsr305's and I am tired of kicking them all the time. This is limited to friends and I need to get rid of both the speakers and the stands.

    The AV40: https://www.amazon.com/M-Audio-Stud...8&qid=1476457473&sr=8-1&keywords=m+audio+av40
Its successor, the waveguide equipped AV42: https://www.amazon.com/M-Audio-20-W...8&qid=1476457473&sr=8-2&keywords=m+audio+av40
The cheap stands I bought that perfectly raise them to ear level from a desk: https://www.amazon.com/Sanus-System...qid=1476457680&sr=8-9&keywords=speaker+stands

Everything works well, but the stands dominate my work space at my office, and don't work with my lsr305s. You can do the math on the value here. I don't want to build in shipping, since it will change based on the destination and desires of the purchaser, and I want to keep the cost low. Average shipping for both is just over $40, fed ex is nearly always cheapest. PM me and we can figure it out.

Fantastic deal for you boys in the US.

I used to have the AV40's and liked them more then the ever-popular Audioengines. For forty bucks these are the bee's knees!

Me too. In the end they became unreliable, and are waiting a trip to the repair man as they are far too good to just discard.

Even at retail, very good value for money. Very decent sound for the desk top --- or even a small room.

NB: these are not "active" speakers in the technical sense, but they are powered and amplification is built into one cabinet. This, they take a line-in input, and will accept balance or unbalanced. Connect straight to a DAC: they have a single volume control. They also have an aux-in, for when someone wants to play something off their phone. Actually, they have headphone-out socket too, but I didn't think much of that.

How much do you think it would cost to ship to 60616?
