That's a new one on me. I've only seen the separate L/R volume controls. Great for someone with hearing loss imbalance

 

Stop giving away your gear you lunatic. This amp is worth way more than $950.

This is one of the better SS amps I've heard. The Bryston should be an endgame purchase for anyone who isn't into tubes. If my fiance wasn't watching my pandemic spending like a hawk, I'd be all over this.

 

I didn't end up doing a full comparison write up, but I prefer the BHA-1 over the Black Widow w/ Sennheisers. Similar level of Slam/macrodynamics but tonality is more "neutral" and less colored than the Black Widow. Pair this amp with something like Bifrost 2 + HD650/Auteur and you're golden. I think it's one of the best solid state amps I've heard along with 3F and Black Widow.

Also one of the few solid state amps that works well with HD800
