FS: Hifiman he-5 reissue

he-5 reissue in excellent condition. I’ve installed alpha pads, removed grills & added a zmf pilot pad for extra comfort. Looking for 325.00 shipped obo to friends only.

 

Here’s another older he-5 which was just sent to hifiman and had new drivers installed. Looking for 300.00 shipped obo. These have less than an hour of head time since I got them back.

 

Man, the pilot pad and alpha pads make the reissue headphone look thiccc.

But in all seriousness, even though these aren't quite as airy as the OG HE-5 or 5LE, the modding potential here is still excellent. I've been working on one of these re-issue pairs for a little bit after borrowing from Marv and the possible performance is definitely in the same league as the HE-6 and 5LE.

Absolutely insane price for what you get, especially if you're into modding. I wonder if the replacement drivers in the older unit are older drivers or re-issue drivers. There's definitely a difference between old HE-5 and re-issue HE-5 (confirmed directly at brencho's place), but GLWS
