FS: Moth/EC Zana Deux Prototype

CEE TEE included a lot of useful information and caveats, please be sure to read that post before considering this purchase.

Summary of caveats from CEE TEE's post: SO: if you are okay with the low-level hiss + lushest EC sound (bit rolled at top) + you promise never to speak about this amp to Craig (or ask him where/how to work on it)…DM me.

I'm lazy and this amp hasn't changed in appearance so just look at his pics.

Additions and my comments:

• I purchased a second set of tubes which I'm including (I didn't notice they change the sound at all but it's good to have a backup set)
• This amp isn't totally level, you can get it to rock a little if you push on the front left corner
• Just in case the pics aren't clear, this looks like a well worn prototype. If you want a pristine looking amp, look elsewhere
• On the other hand, if you want a one of a kind EC/Moth amp with a cozy warm sound, this one is fabulous
• This amp has a long butt and sticks out over the edge of my rack (I'm using these which I've noticed are popular). The feet all fit so it works with my rack.
• REALLY good with the Auteur and Auteur Classic, that was how I paired it 90% of the time. If memory serves, I liked it with Focals too. CEE TEE said it was tuned using the HD 600 so that should be another really good option.
• I found the hiss CEE TEE mentioned minimal but YMMV and it's definitely there. Possibly more pronounced with other headphones.
