    In case anyone wants to see the internals or want to find ways to mod it. These pics were taken over 3 months ago.

    Wow, @Maxx134 just revived this month old thread. I didn't even know we had this one on SBAF.

    For what it's worth, this is a picture of a production HE1000 driver that I took at CanJam Europe 2015.

    I was told the diaphragm is about 90-150 nm (0.09-0.15 μm) thick.

    It's actually in order of how to disassemble except for the pad removal. I like pressed against the 11 or 1 oclock of the pads to pop a tab off first. Once you get one tab off, start working at the nearest one to that. Then you'll see the screws like in @Serious's pic.

    Excellent.
    It's funny I was too paranoid to trying to take pads off so I didn't .
    This will allow my trials of other materials, notably my Organza fabric!
