Jazz reborn

Lovely Latin-inspired music, full of twists and turns. I had missed Guillermo Klein's work until now, but I need to correct that. Out today on Bandcamp. Last track in the album "A Navarro" is a delightful take on choro, which Anat Cohen's fans will certainly enjoy.

The awesome Seven Poets trio, Tomas Fujiwara (drums), Tomeka Reid (cello and bass), Patricia Brennan (vibes), releases a new album, Pith, on Bandcamp.

 

Original version of "Love Will Find a Way" from the album Pharoah. Starts with an extended, sometimes off-key vocal section/intro by Pharoah Sanders, followed by sax solo, then around the 6 minute mark the highlight for me is the lengthy guitar solo from Tsziji Munoz. I think this is due to be re-released as a box set soon with the full session recordings.

 

I really like this band! Listening via my Dunu Kima Classic IEMs- they seem to speak to me. Especially with female vocals.

Laid back groove based jam, not groundbreaking but very pleasant. Feeling good about my preorder.
