Okay, need a little guidance here.

    Craigslist offering: https://nashville.craigslist.org/ele/d/pioneer-pl-600-full-automatic/6294593485.html

Some people LOVE this TT and will pay $150 or more for it, but I'm a little confused in googling. Sometimes, I see this: https://specialistdivision.files.wordpress.com/2015/03/pioneer-pl-600.jpg

And sometimes I see this: https://www.vinylengine.com/library/pioneer/pl-600-belt-drive.shtml

I'm assuming the silver version is the popular one, but is anyone familiar with these tables?

    Nevermind...direct drive v belt drive.

    I'm a moron.

Still curious if anyone has experience with these, but it seems the belt drive version is pretty low end.

Why Pioneer re-uses model #s is a mystery to me.

I have the Pioneer PL-600 turntable and recall never having a problem with it. However, when I plug the red/white audio wires into the receiver I have to crank the volume way up to get a decent sound output. There is one extra wire which I have no idea what to do. It's a skinny wire that has a flat u-shaped ending. Could this be causing the sound issue or is it something else? The turntable was in the basement for a few years but other than dust no dammage.
