How does one read Blood Meridian and finish it? I have a copy and got the sense from the first pages it's just a Jackson Pollock with blood instead of paint.

@roshambo123 it helped me to be familiar with his style first, maybe ease your way in with the border trilogy and/or suttree and then try blood meridian again.
