@zonto not really. I had heard some of the Reflektor tubes from the 80's and thought they were quite good. I later heard a grey shield '75 and it had a similar signature but was better (but microphonic). I've read the thread on HF and the prices seen on eBay are just insane.
So I'd say it's mostly out of curiosity and to perhaps add a bit to my Mjolnir2 tube shoot out.
...but I refuse to pay the prices seen online. No tube for Mjolnir2 is worth those amounts. I paid $100 for a pair of w396a and it hurt but felt like it was worth it considering I had bought so many GREAT tubes for almost nothing.
Rob (rb2013) bought some vintage 6N23s from my source and praised them. Prices then shot up. Feel free to PM if you want more details. I outlined my 6N23P experience in the Valhalla 2 thread. Started with 90s Voshkods, but they were microphonic in the Valhalla 2. I assume the same issue in your Mjolnir 2. Ended up with some 1969 Reflektors that I kept even after selling the amp.
I think kolkoo on HF still has some '74s left. He offered $125 for a pair shipped from Bulgaria but his price might change depending on his stock. He has really great service too, he would find you the tubes that match the closest and give you the numbers, oh and 10 days return.
