I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who has an assortment of allen keys sitting next to the table :)

Yeah, my Kid A is Capitol as well because I didn't want to deal with the headache of finding a first press Parlophone copy. From what I've read, OKC shows the biggest difference of all their titles, but in general the UK/EU pressings sound better and are also better pressed. It's probably worth keeping in mind that there's no way a lot of people have heard both pressings for all of Radiohead's albums on good setups, and there's a lot of contradictory information out there.

I have both pressings of Kid A (well, I have original UK, second run UK and US Capitol from 2008) and the original UK one is *far superior* to the US Capitol from 2008. My second run UK pressing is still unopened as I was hoping to hear some more info on it before I opened it.

AFAIK only the first pressing is unique to the EU, all other pressings are the same as Capitol.

the one important thing that is holding me on the whole vinyl thingy is that I'm pretty sure most of the music I listen to (new "commercial" indian music by AR-Rahman for example) cannot be found on vinyl.... :'(

Ben Webster - At the Renaissance (Analogue Productions 33rpm). Long out of print! But grab it if you ever see it.

You know you're in trouble when you have to originate new entries in Discogs!

RATATAT's LP3. So ridiculously good, this can't be real life. I feel almost guilty listening to this.

What a haul. If that is a first pressing for the Bernard Hermann, you are one lucky dude. Just curious, how can you tell its a first pressing for Phase 4? Does it follow the Decca methodology, I just don't know.

And a six Eye Miles Smiles First Pressing, wowzers. Us old farts have too much to like.

And now I have to find 'Stoneflower' too. Argggh! My wallet is bleeding this month.....

After further inspections, it's not the Decca, but it's the first UK London pressing, same year. I don't know what the difference is but it is a Phase 4, I assume it's the same. Anyone know?

Is there a six eye of this? This is the first pressing according to Discogs: R-1488156-1282490380.jpeg.jpg

This is the one I got.

You are right, my mind slipped on when Miles Smiles came out, and the Columbia labelography at the time. You have the first mother stampers too?

Digital tickles your ears, vinyl feeds your soul. It really is addictive, if time consuming.

And if anything this is the easiest way to seventy one virgins.
