That's an awesome deal for the QC35, but unfortunately none of the zip-codes of my friends and family show availability for that deal. Oh, well. Cheers

@zerodeefex - Thanks for the intel. Have you or any of the other long-timers here tried out the 1000X with the 1A/1Z and the LDAC protocol? Wonder if it makes much of an impact when running wireless. Cheers

PS - Looks like BHPhoto is out of stock, but Amazon still has some - https://www.amazon.com/Sony-Cancelling-Bluetooth-Headphone-MDR1000X/dp/B01KHZ4ZYY?th=1

    I have.

Picked up the Sony's to try out against the Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 Wireless Noise-Cancelling Over-Ear with the WM1A a few weeks ago.

I'll try and post some brief impressions in the morning. A more complete write-up will be part of the DAP comparisons I'm doing as part of my "Portable DAC" comparisons and, again, will include the Sonys and the Sennheisers.

If it is the driver and it sounds like it is, then it is going to be tough to rehab! Cd3k drivers are similar?? Those would be easier to come up on, a trashed pair cd3k donor perhaps.

Can you please confirm that if the 1000X isn't paired with any devices it'll automatically turn off after a brief period? Think I read that somewhere and that's kind of a deal breaker for me. Thanks in advance!

If by "isn't paired" you actually mean "isn't connected", I can test that tonight.

Yes, they DO power-off 5 minutes after they lose the Bluetooth connection.

Got my 1000X's today. Just started playing with them but early impressions are that for their price point and as wireless NCs they're pretty good, and pair easily with the 1Z. Only complaint so far is a few short drop outs using them in LDAC "SQ priority" vs "connection priority" modes (or whatever they call it). Really like the touch controls and how you can cup the right earphone to hear what's going on around you. Good for crossing intersections, etc. More later after the proper time spent in use. Cheers

I just ordered a few from Fry's. They're on sale for $4 with free shipping.

Hey, I just found this interesting browser add on: invisible hand
Seems to work well. I went to Amazon and looked up the belkin cable, and invisible hand notified me of the Fry's price.
A nice add-on which will work nicely with CamelCamelCamel and Fakespot.

That's pretty cool. Just tried a search for the XDP-100R and it's $499 at Amazon, but Invisible Hand showed me that it's $299 at NewEgg. Thanks for the heads up!
