I know some peeps here think I'm a schill - and there's nothing I can do about that except to say it's total CRAP. I wish I got paid merely to promote products! I'm in this because I love it. If I wanted to make real money I wouldn't have spent my whole professional life in the music and Hi-fi industries...
I've actually worked in the Hi-fi and music industries for over twenty years.
In that time I've been honored to learn from and work for two pioneers of those fields: Harry Pearson, founder of The Absolute Sound magazine and Arif Mardin (Producer/arranger/composer) at Atlantic Records. Working for these amazing men, the challenges involved, provided me with a broad skill-set and solid contacts in those communities.
I've worked on multi-platinum record projects, live show production, as well as promotion and marketing. I also specialized in the custom installation & maintenance of high end consumer and professional audio facilities (such as Atlantic Records reference systems, QC facilities, etc.). This work included designing multi-room sound installations and project/recording studios.
I've also been a writer for over twenty years. In that seemingly short time I've written for Hifi+ Magazine (started there & was asked to re-join the team recently), The Absolute Sound, Positive Feedback, The Daily Swarm, The High Fidelity Report, Big Black Disc, HPSoundings, Part-Time Audiophile, Enjoy The Music, and my own sites Audio360.org (hiatus) and OccupyHifi.
Writing means everything to me. I love it beyond encapsulating my feelings here.
That path led me to social media. I was the Director of Marketing for CEntrance & High Resolution Technologies (HRT), specializing in social media campaigns, permission marketing & brand-building. I bring my passion for great sound and music to everything I do.
And glad to be here at SABFInteract
