I actually think that the full moon releases are really neat and a great way to build anticipation. The blue moon would be a fitting conclusion. And it looks like the single releases might be unique mixes, so the album mixes will still be a surprise when they arrive.

I have to say, just like when “The Barry Williams Show” came out to promote “Up”, it took a few spins to get into the song. It’s pretty layered and moody (but in an opposite mood from “Up”).

I really like the new song. It’s haunting and moody, but there’s a hopefulness that runs throughout. The trio of Levin, Rhodes, and Katché really propel the song forward. I get goosebumps when the band kicks in and PG sings, “And we pour the medicine down.”

OK. Took me a while to appreciate the “Animals” 2018 Remix for what it is: a re-work of Pink Floyd’s only punk album to prog it up. Discuss.

        Hyperbolically speaking, of course ]:-)

Apparently the band had just built up their own studio (Britannia Row) and while they had good gear, it was nowhere nearly well taken care of as EMI’s gear (Abbey Road). so that gritty, compressed-ish mix was not as intentional as one would think. I think we can easily agree the sound quality stands out compared to, say, Wish You Were Here and The Wall.

The Master has been giving the same story since Up came out. That was a little over 20 years ago.

Yeah but he hasn't been so vocal so frequently about an album release being so imminent.
