@schiit will we see a Modius+ with new ESS tweaks at some point?

@schiit, is there any difference in the power supply or anything with the + version compared to the OG version? Same transformers and choke, etc.?

@MellowVelo FAQ on the upgrade says you need to place an order for a Unison USB upgrade at the same time as the Yggdrasil+ upgrade if you want your USB upgraded.

So the best choice if we like the sound of our current Yggdrasil is to wait until you release the Yggdrasil Uber? Some of us want a super Yggdrasil because it's our favorite DAC but it could always be moar better!

Ordered Lyr+, will be replacing my Asgard 3 (which is too soft for my tastes). I'm hoping the pre-amp is transparent enough it can replace my Saga...probably not, but will see.

Missed out on the chance to call it the Vali doubleplusgood. Also, I used to use the WE 396a with my Vali 2+ through an adapter, sounded amazing!

@crenca will be very interested to hear your impressions of the Lyr as a preamp. I’m thinking of doing the same and getting rid of my Freya+ (trying to downsize my speaker rig for nearfield only).

I wish the Freya S had the buffer mode. I don’t want tubes so a Freya S makes more sense. Buying a tube preamp for buffer mode feels a bit silly.
