Be strong. Everyone has issues with black Schiit. I am really trying hard to develop black Gungnir Multibit blinkers for similar reasons. Pictures of BW2 on top of a black Gungnir Multibit, for example, are borderline obscene.

if i had to guess, i'd say the utopia is still the more lively and dynamic headphone vs. the planar pmx2, just based on the inherent traits of the drivers. a modded 800 is still an insane value, but sounds leaner than the utopia to me tonality wise. surely there are other differences but that's my $.02.

 

Anyone seem a good deal on an HD600 used or new? Prices seem to going up on the used. Maybe after Christmas would be a better time. Any experiences with pre and post holiday prices?

 

According to camelcamelcamel, prices of the hd600 were in a slump from september - november, and have since risen this month, probably due to people buying up all the cheap ones as holiday gifts. If you were hoping on getting a cheap one before christmas, I think you might be out of luck.

edit: What I mean by that is even taking into account shipping, trade tariffs, and exchange rates, it's not uncommon for it to be cheaper for Canadians to order audio stuff from across the border or even over seas compared to the prices the stores list here.
