Meaning you find they each do different things better than the other, or that there isn't much discernible difference between them?

They are both great but good for different flavors. The zx300 is more clear with the brighter treble can be more fatiguing. It feels more spacious, clean, with better transparency but doesn't have the dynamic grip and punch of the ZX2. This is most noticeable in the bass. I still its a more neutral sound, faster sound.

ZX2 has better timbre with the andromedas with more grip and punch, but after coming from the zx300, I am missing some clarity in the treble and sometimes wish for more air and clearer seperation. ZX2 hisses noticeably more than zx300. Its a romantic listen though and it has better decay which allows you to feel better nuances. trade offs between the two.

Thank you for the write-up! That should cure my curiosity for a while. My friend who has ZX2 bailed on me so I haven't really got a chance to really compare ZX300 and ZX2 together, which was disappointing. Was so looking forward to that too. ;(
