The good ol' sextett . Decent headphone from the past. Golden age for AKG. Still not up to the best current headphones though but enjoyable. Nice pick.
Gold badges or silver, and if silver, solid headband or circles in it? Vintage K240's are what got me into headphones, not the most tonally accurate but lots of fun if you have a beefy enough amp. Can use elastic hair bands if the suspension is shot (which it usually is). Cleaning out and replacing rotten open-cell foam inside will help clean up the bass
They are solid headband, gold badges. Based on the cable and condition I assumed they were pretty old. Hard to find details on version history. The suspension is shot, and the left ear cup sits about half an inch off my head at the bottom.
That's the later (and I believe longest-running) Monitor version, bit more neutral/less fun than the earlier Sextetts. Can loop some hair ties around the ends like so (you can unscrew the sliding disk to fit the band in there or just loop it around the outside): https://i.imgur.com/pFaSryS.jpg
Pads can get rock hard after awhile also, if you like the sound well enough you can still get stock replacements or Shure SRH840 pads work well (more comfortable, less mid forward, more bass)
