    In soundcard loopback testing I can see additional tones in an FFT without even being connected to any power source.

    Then again the cables aren't shielded and the CRT is far worse. When running it below 100kHz I can actually see a peak from the flyback in the FFT.

    LED lamp with switching power supply is not much better than the CRT. Even 12V lighting with a transformer is visible. Heck, even a - 150dBFS tone can be seen in the FFT.

    Some peaks in the 20-100kHz range never went away. LW radio stations? Laptop EMI? No idea.

    Yeah, the EMI is likely way less bothersome to me than the actual audible buzzing they emit, anyway. Maybe we'll get 480Hz refresh OLEDs at some point.

    Here's an album with the measurements. CRT looks far worse than the Plasma TV here, but note that it was much closer for this measurement.
