I don't think that level of investment on speakers make sense until reaching to 50/50. I happily dumped 1k+ cash into speakers because mine nearly 20/80 these days.

I guess my usage could swing more to speakers if I had better speakers? haha...

Surely likely! But be aware that speakers are more of a complicated combination among product, placement, and (social) restriction. If you're ok with the latter two, worth considering >12" bass driver speakers (hopely >=15") that tell us a lot of difference.

I'm a little tight on space for the speakers, but the right size will work in my set-up. I also have a sub for a fuller sound.

@Vtory I am with you on not spending $$ on speakers until I am sure I use them more often. I'm pretty happy with what I have now.

You could try changing up speaker and sub placement and some room treatments if you can and have not already done so. What you learn would inform your next speaker choice should you decide that you want something different. DSP room correction is a possibility, but I have no experience with that outside of HT where it can yield good results.

@luckybaer Rule of thumb in this hobby is leave as they are when no dissatisfaction occurs -- but we all foolish souls often violate this lol.

Sub is a little different focus from big woofers. The primary purpose of big woofers (at least in sbaf) is not depth but overall quality over upper region (say, 50-200hz or above). Subs desirably do their job below 40.

Wise words @Vtory. @luckybaer I was fortunate to have a good relationship with a brick and mortar dealer when doing such explorations. I was able to take speakers home for a weekend here and there til I found something I liked. I've also lent my speakers to others for trial listening. Try before you by is a good way to scratch the itch and inform any purchase.

Quardrilateral, maybe 15x18, but my listening position is about 6 ft from speakers. Don't have lots of options.
