What if the PM DM's? If the DM PM's, would one expect to run into a party of orcs?

I started seeing DM recently. Whatdoes it say about methat I don't even know where it comes from?

PM = forums talk
DM = Discord/Slack/etc... talk

I personally use PM everywhere. I'm totally cool with either one but like... people should be more aware of where they actually are.

I do look at (occasionally post on) Instagram, and now realise that DM is the parlance there. I think I might even have done it once or twice!

It used to always be PM (Private Message) on forums. On social media it’s DM (Direct Message). It just says that you’re social media saavy and haven’t been around audio forums for that long if you say DM.

I had no idea off-hand what DM meant. Digging deep in my memory, I finally exclaimed, "Dungeon Master!"
