Damn. I so-much sympathise with people who suffer for a day or even a week.

I used to get one-day migraine, from aura, through headache, to vomiting. Curiously, I now get 20-minute migraine. Just the "aura". World melts in front of my eyes for a little while then it all goes away.

How long do yours take?

My migraines (suffering from one right now) are a piece of cake in comparison: Auras, very mild headaches, dizziness, vertigo, and general tiredness.
But still, I hate having to work on such days, having to do anything at all. Glad I’m on holiday.

@Thad E Ginathom Usually I get my ass kicked for one day and remnants for another. By the time I wrote that status I could actually see straight again, but I'll be spending today on light duty just to recover some energy.

As another plagued with migraines, you have my condolences. You thankfully have compassionate kids to help.

Sumatriptan usually works for me if taken during onset. Hope you're feeling better!
