Yeah it is. And Hartford has a great program for it, with an anechoic chamber and a reverberation room I toured. And at the end of the second year, the students to an actually acoustics project for something in the community, one year they made a local churches presentation room acoustically better to cut down on the massive reverberations from is.
Not knowing your plans, but if you can and have the means, seek on campus housing. My freshman and sophomore years living on campus at UCSC were among the best years of my life. Mostly girls and drugs, but some learning took place too. And some academics.
Yes, good plan. "Learn" as much as you can. As often as you can. If there's one thing you'll regret looking back, it's not having learned as much as you could have.
Nah im going to fix the world of speakers instead. I like speakers better. I might want to explore more exotic methods, like horns, planars, electrostatics, and others. But first I have to get a good scholarship, go through college, then get a job and learn more, then start my own company. So stay tuned, ill give SBAF a free pair of whatever I make if it still exists in 20 years.
