My 35mm is plenty fast (f1.2) and has a pretty flexible character depending on how much you stop down. It's not really lacking for general purpose, but I want some variety too. Got some travel plans in the next year...

28 & 50 might not seem different enough from 35. I always liked 24; wide, but the perspective distortion isn't too jarring.

IMO 35mm is the best default lens, better than 50mm, so you're good there. Branching out, 20mm is fantastic for indoor architectural and sweeping outdoor shots. 85mm for portraiture and more distant subjects.

Since you're shooting film, I'd suggest find a more special lens which flavors match your taste, and also spend some time on Flickr lens groups. Leave the generic duties to the cell phone.

Think your 35 is already a winner. If you plan to do indoor shoots, 21 might be a good addition. If you’re planning to shoot portraits, the 85 is good.

I always liked the 85mm for walkabout/street photography. 28mm was my "sunsets" lens for all those film years, but I am not sure it'd be worth picking up if you already have 35mm in the bag.
