There *was* a homosexual Jesus. He was a flamboyant black guy who participated in the big ACT UP protest at St Patrick's Cathedral in 1989. He dressed the part. He was good. He'd say things like, "I'm Jesus Christ; I'm gay; And I wanna to go to heaven *too!*" (He didn't seem crazy. It was a performance.)
@Thad E Ginathom Great song. After school, during civil service, I lived together with a friend, and we frequently visited an Irish pub in Nuremberg. When we walked home, usually quite drunk, we used to sing In The Attics Of My Life in two voices, loud. What a great time!
Argh, no, shame on me, I totally misremembered the song! In The Attics was a song we often listened to at the time, but what we sang on our way home was Lay Down My Dear Brothers, of course! https://youtu.be/ti6bqCd58pI
It's either a traditional song, or a known-composer gospel song: I should google.
I was aware that it had bee "quoted" by the Dead as well as by the String Band, but I couldn't recall when. I was going to google that!
The wonderful (but some people can't stand them) Incredible String Band made it an integral part of that song. Which should be a part of every biology syllabus! ...
I don't need a wife,
Living the timeless life,
If I need a friend,
I just give a wiggle,
Split right down the middle,
And when I look,
There's two of me,
Just as handsome as can be
