I recently remarked to some friends that the Weiss is ruining all other sources for me as it is so supremely natural while extremely nuance and detailed...just pure injection of music-type vibes. Was asked "even compared to vinyl?" and I realized that was a good thing to test.
@Gazny I have to admit I had never heard of that! Seem to me the default Weiss filter seems to do a decent job of replicating analog/vinyl though. Currently have one of my AAA albums spinning on Rega P8+Zu 103r+Tavish Adagio simultaneously with same album on Roon on the Weiss and switching back and forth. Really gotta split hairs to pick them apart. If anything the weiss is a tad more relaxed.
This looks interesting and I love to hear one, but for $3500 I'd expect more from the look than the "I drove to RadioShack in 1998 with my dad to make a firework launcher" vibe.
@Vansen I gotta agree with you there, clearly paying for IP/brand with this one a bit. Lightweight, ESS 9038, off the shelf switching psu...but some sort of voodoo has this sounding amazing. But build quality and components don't really line up with the cost.
