Just get a Femto card used for like 200. Or one of the Chi-fi cards like the Matrix or whatever. Or if you want real cheap, just go for the breakout card Marv mentioned, as long as you’re not bothered by no moar betterer clocks and power nervosa.

Not defending it but the 4080 has major economies of scale. Otherwise there’s basically no reason why a DAC should ever cost more than than a motherboard, let alone a computer
