Any interesting flavour imparted by the driver material? The larger than average venting looks almost Falcon-like. How's the Isolation and sense of space?

@Sqveak no trace of metallic timbre, if that's what you're worried about. Isolation is on par with other ported IEMs and sense of space is more pronounced than usual.

Do you have Simgot EW200 to compare? That one is very bright.

@shotgunshane nope, no EW200, but I know it was hella bright. Since EA1000 Simgot has mostly got the tonality right.

I’m always tempted to try some of the better lower cost IEMs but I rarely pull the trigger, I don’t want a pile of lower cost IEMs that I rarely touch. The only cheap ones I have are the Truthear Hola.

Only a few hours in, but I'm impressed, especially with the spaciousness and resolution. Just a little bit hot in the upper mids for me, but it's amazing what can be had for under a benjamin these days. Last 'budget' dynamic iem I bought was FD-X1 around $200, and these are a class above...
