A major benefit of IEMs for me is the seal. I know I’m not going to get that with an earbud. And earbuds also require some fiddling.

I’m most partial to closed-backs. But I do use IEMs sometimes.

I use the old wired Apple buds for listening to podcast and for web meetings. If somehow upgrade to these would come by ..

CIEMs or bust for me and my oddly shaped ear canals.

I'd agree my favorite but then there's Piety. MJ3 is better but my long term nitpick is it can be hauntingly mellow. I'd miss that if I gave it up, but MJ3 doesn't really have a "party mode" that I've found, and I want that sometimes.

@roshambo123 Yeah, if you want to get up and party buy something else. That being said, I really don't think the MJ3 does anything wrong in any aspect of its sound. It's good to very good in all areas and commits only a small amount of sins of commission.

Not only music. It took me ~ 10 years to be able to more or less enjoy Advent season again, and I still hate all the commercial shit that revolves around Christmas. Can’t we just all have a good time _without_ spending ridiculous amounts of money?

The ZMF Aegis has been my only amp for the last 3-4 months, and I’m quite content. It’s caused me to dive back into the bottomless pit that is tube-rolling. The Aegis’ sound can be changed quite a bit with tubes, though it always sounds excellent, even with the stock setup.

@JeremiahS I wouldn't say a bargain, but early sneak peek into my thoughts; I think it is appropriately priced given the market.

My wife has a dear friend that was diagnosed with clear cell carcinoma a year ago. She was given a very short time to live as a prognosis. Now a year later she is in remission. Hang on to the slim hopes. Sometimes it works.
