    That’s why my romantic partner (now my wife) never went to meets when we were living in Chicago. She was always afraid she’d hear something amazing that I couldn’t afford to buy for her. I never felt that way about meets. But I don’t do loaners I can’t afford: not because I’m afraid I’ll miss ’em later, but because I don’t have the time. I have *no idea* where you people find the time for this. But “salute!”
