More CT scans with and without contrast, angiograms, cardiac monitoring, appointments with cardiologist and pulmonologist over the next several months to attain better refinement of my diagnoses.
But without more data the conservative view is one foot in the grave and one foot on a banana peel. Here's hoping to be a statistical outlier.

Also just completed 12 days of 24/7 cardiac monitoring. Probably June before all the necessary data becomes available to determine appropriate course of action(s). Initial CT scan that found issues was several weeks back and thus why the dark moods. Though latest cardiac meds also have side effects of tremendous mood swings.

You already are well and truly an outlier in passion and knowledge, what's a bit more in medical chance? Wishing you and yours all the best, and for whatever it's worth you'll hardly be the crochetiest butthead on here.

There are few guarantees in life, save that eventually, our bodies will fail us. May you find medical relief for your symptoms for as long as possible and also take comfort in knowing how much your work has impacted lives.

Thank-you all for the kind words and encouragement.
Today it was head to toe skin examination for cancer. Nothing of concern found, excellent. But the physician had an anecdote about idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis that gives me great hope.

When looking up life expectancy survival rates on IPF median of two to five years from diagnosis is the standard result. However it is hard to find discussion of outliers. My physician's father has had IPF for over 30 years and still doesn't need oxygen supplements. An extreme outlier. I'm hoping to be one as well.

Issues with calcification of the Left Anterior Descending can be addressed with stents, though there is always a possibility of a cardiac or stroke event before all the due diligence diagnostics are completed.

Given my medical device R&D background I am employing all technologies at my disposal to minimize that risk. I'm hoping to be around to enlighten, entertain, or just annoy everyone for quite awhile. But the cardiac meds cause mood swings, brain fog and some other unpleasantness, so hopefully I can self moderate.

You said once a while back 'getting old is not for the faint of heart', It does have its rewards however. Courage brother!
