@joch put it this way: i'm not wasting my time comparing Vali3 to Piety, nor Vali2, nor anything else I own sub-$1k. I'm slightly upset my MJ3 is loaned out, so that direct comparison will need to wait. the extravagance of ownership that is EC Af is being drug out, front and center, as just that: perhaps (perhaps!!) an extravagance.

What's the delta like between Vali 3 and Vali 2++? I could use a good iem amp until Drop gets more TA-84's in stock

Edit, it was Lyr3 - had Lyr3 a while back so well-aged comparisons wouldn't be prudent. I do recall Lyr3 being cooler, tonally, in a general sense. @RD, fun thing is Vali3 is dead silent (for me, in my rig, caveat) with CFA Fathom. Not a perfectly ideal match; but quiet nonetheless.
