Thank-you. There was a team assembled for the planned cardioversion, including an anesthesiologist, RN, ECG tech, ER cardiologist, respiratory specialist and one other. I work for a medical device company, am knowledgeable. But my heart was being stubborn yesterday.
There are millions of people on the planet that suffer from atrial fibrillation. I am being somewhat vocal (on several forums) to raise awareness. Many are not as willing to comment on their respective afflictions which has a major impact on their daily lives and families.
Having suffered atrial fib myself and been through a cardioversion (luckily only once myself) as well as having a brother who had to go through an ablation procedure for the same, I really appreciate your work to raise awareness on this issue (and deeply sympathize with what you've had to go through.)
@nedifer - thank-you, new med regimen appears to be working though the side effects are ... challenging. Had a flutter ablation (right atrium) last year. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. Hopefully you and your brother are also doing well. Stress is one of my triggers, listening to calming music a powerful counter measure.
