The week around Black Friday is the best point. Koss has a history of dumping them for 30$ or so.

Get the SportaPro - same drivers, much cheaper. $20 bucks. This only works if you want to mod, the housing is apparently significantly worse.

Edit: KSC35 (~$15) + partsexpress headband works out roughly the same cost.
