Audeze Penrose X - EU

I know we don't usually get many loaners (i know it has a lot of lack of interest because of postage costs) but @rhythmdevils is trying to make us a solid, with the permission of Audeze, for the ones interested. If there are enough interested members we can make this happen, with the usual rules (insurance, tracking, etc...).
If there is not enough interest then it is what it is.

We’ve got a green light for this loaner from Audeze.

However the second unit I have here has a very faint wind sound in the left channel. It’s way too quiet to hear with music or be of any bother. But you can choose to wait for the the US unit or I’ll ship you this one. It won’t affect your evaluation of it. And Audeze knows about the problem they’re trying to figure out what it is. So it wouldn’t be there in a new unit if you bought one (or you could return it)

let me know what you would prefer. The US unit only has 2 more people but Marvey is last and may be backlogged.

once you decide, we can figure out logistics and I’ll post the rules for the loaner. I’m going to pay to ship it there. Youll just have to figure out how to ship it back fairly. Maybe you all split the cost I don’t know.

Okay so reading a little bit about the Penrose X and the 'X' seems to mean it's compatible with XBox while the non-X Penrose is compatible with PS5?

I don't care so much for the consoles since I don't have them, but it seems like the Penrose X isn't Mac compatible which is an issue for me. However it appears to have a 3.5mm port so I'll still be able to evaluate it.

However if there is any possibility of exchanging the Penrose X for the Penrose, I would prefer that. I know beggars can't be choosers.

 

it’s Mac compatible I used it via wifi on my Mac laptop and the setup was super easy. Check out my review for setup instructions. But it sounds better using Bluetooth.

It comes with a wifi usb single. Plug and play on a Mac.
