That's interesting. Perhaps the demo at minidisc has been handled a bit roughly...

Definitely was much hissier than an iPhone as well as my onkyo and some AK players I demoed. The music did sound fantastic otherwise.

Mine does something similar. When I wake the player from sleep I hear hiss and it dissipates in about three seconds.

My zx2(but with Jupiters) has that first burst of hiss, but even after its hiss is quite strong. More than A&K 70 and 300.

    EU version, with everything disabled.

Hmm ok maybe it is normal then. I do listen relatively quietly so might be more bothered by hiss than others. That being said, could still hear it over the noise in the store such as people talking.

Found a weird issue with my ZX2. I loaded three albums onto the internal memory, and when the DAP uploads the database, it hits 35% and either stalls or just stops updating, and only one of the three albums shows up. I deleted all three and added them again and had the same issue. Anyone else experience something like this?

Yes... it stalls and you have to just let it keep running for a while. If it doesn't proceed after 10 minutes, try restarting the app and manually rescanning your library.

Well, I've tried this a few times now and no success. It either remains stalled or just stops trying to update. Any other suggestions? I've already restarted the whole device twice.

I'm not sure then. It would eventually start working for me after trying it a few times. I only use my microsd card though. Have you tried to cancel/pause the scan and then going to the settings on the top right corner of the music app, and updating the database from there?

That's how I've been getting it to scan, is through the settings in the top right corner of the app.

Well, after doing the update manually about 20 times, it finally went through to 100% and the albums have all shown up. Very strange.

Is there any downside to the Euro volume capped version if I'm just going to be running IEMs or portable headphones anyway? Is the downside just purely related to max volume/power?

Anyone have success running Tidal HiFi in offline mode? Many Android DAPs, including my DP-x1 have a known skipping issue, but I haven't found any complaints of ZX2 (which implies its ok?)

    Hello friends!
Did someone had a chance to listen to the Sony nw-wmz1 and 1A?
Could they be compared with those in the first graphic?
    Thanks

My thoughts here ... which don't include my musings on various incompetent porkers inability to use basic search.

Hello good sir! How are you today? Good? Fabulous.

I have in fact covered this very topic that you have so astutely made enquiries of, in the bygone era of February '17. If you would be so kind please direct yourself to the following world wide web hyperlink: http://www.superbestaudiofriends.or...ortable-dac-amp-comparisons.3886/#post-118944

Now, if your future investigations prove similarly stifling please may I direct you to what some refer to as "the path to true enlightenment", aka the "search function". Located in the upper right hand corner of this very page, and all other pages of this glorious gathering of audio addled minds.

If the proffered "search function" should fail to meet your ample needs then might I suggest the "secret sauce box of serchiness", aka the "custom search function". Located hither: http://www.superbestaudiofriends.org/index.php?pages/FeaturedContent/

One last thing, and I must be firm with you here young rando. For your very survival is at stake. The tools you require to fend off these rabid essbaff fiends can be found a trivial journey south yonder. Read them, learn them, inscribe them into your very flesh, and a long healthy life you may yet be granted. http://www.superbestaudiofriends.org/index.php?threads/must-read-for-new-members.3/

The tread (sic) title had me in 2 words, but hey "three way" would have done.:D

I read the first line of this post and felt Monty Python. Michael Palin in the Cheese Shop perhaps. Or perhaps a Cleese scene from Fawlty Towers.

    Funny as all get out.

And not at all like headwise.
