FS: Schiit Ragnarok and Mini Philharmonics and original Schiit Yggdrasil

Here's a summary of the prices:


I really want these sold quick, so....Let's do some crazy shit here:

Mini Philharmonitors: $475 SOLD

Ragnarok: $950 SOLD

Yggdrasil A1 Gen3: $1450 SOLD


My first foray into speakers was a valuable one. It taught me two things: I want to stick with speakers and not go back to headphones for a long while (which is why I'm selling the ragnarok...to get something cheaper and more speaker oriented,) and I don't quite like Raal tweeters (a bit too laid back for me.)

I'm going to sell the Ragnarok for what I got it for a week ago: $1050 shipped.

As far as the Mini Phils go...I would STRONGLY prefer local pick up, but I understand that's near impossible. Mystik and I are about the only two people in our area on SBAF. However, if you live in Illinois or Arkansas...or Indiana, we can meet half way. If we do that, I'm good with $500 I bought the MPhils used, however the guy didn't even break them in. If I have to ship though, it will be $550.

That's what I'm using them for, and do quite well. The Raggy gets them loud, but they haven't overwhelmed my 8x12 office at all. They are basically the same size as New Phils with the only difference being the smaller woofer and slightly less bass extension (compared to the New Phils.)

 

They're ported. I should have specified that. The sealed ones are smaller. The port is only 4'' in diameter, so they don't need to be far from the wall at all.

 

The Yggdrasil is now available, the Raggy is sold, and the Phils had one more price drop.

 

tempted by that Yggdrasil....but like you i would have to buy another preamp ><.

 

I feel your pain. The most affordable preamp with balanced out I can think of is that used Jot, but that's still $325 extra.

 

I think the saga is better and can be had for a good price, but then you want the gen5 upgrade at least to match the usb in the soekris dac1541. then you realize for 200 more, I could have added a kick ass pairing studio sub to the system which probably would have made a bigger difference. still a great deal for an end game dac that can be upgraded....ugh ><

 

Lol what subs would you pair with them? Genuinely curious.
