Inspired by @brencho 's thread, this thread is to track Massdrop PURCHASES and RESELLS. It is hoped we can get a data point that adds to our understanding of our relationship to Massdrop.

Instructions: Vote as many times as you have purchased a Massdrop Audiophile product. For example, if you purchased three items and resold one vote yes three times on the first response, vote once on the second response, and vote twice on the third response.

What's the angle on returns information- I thought that returns were only accepted on a defective product?

Whether someone is outside the US would also skew inclination towards returns- for minor issues I wouldn't bother with international shipping costs.

+1 the above, think it'd make sense to split the votes between "I returned this because it was defective and needed a replacement" and "I shipped this back because it sucked/because I don't like MD/other reasons".

Good points. The idea is to track resells. Mods, I can't seem to fully edit the poll.

Now that you mention resells, what about an option for those who bought something off MD and later sold it? Doesn't count as a return, strictly speaking.

Then again. For something like this you really don't want to have too many options lest things get bogged down and convoluted. Might as well just have an option for "the item worked well but I couldn't/didn't want to keep it around (financial reasons or otherwise)".

    ... Yeah, I don't envy you right now :))

There has been ongoing discussion about whether we are shills or not Figuring out how many here have actually purchased a product seems a reasonable question.

EDIT: high rate of resell might indicate succumbing to initial hype.

if that is the intent, why is there no Poll option for
[ ] Never have purchased any mass drop product
[ ] Never plan to purchase any mass drop product in the future.

besides, who cares about being labelled shills or not? (by randos and dum dums).

Some fortune telling in those question suggestions. @brencho seemed to care.

I bought several items when it first appeared. The quality (regarding my taste) made me stop buying after a few months, they just weren't for me. I did buy keycaps 3 or 4 months ago though (and they sucked also). Even though I didn't receive any defective products, since I am in Europe i just prefer to sell around here. That would be the case even if i could just return purchases because "whatever", because international postage to the US is too expensive.

    Regarding being labeled "who cares"?!

If this poll is be trusted, the Massdrop product retention rate is actually really good.

You can sell it, throw it in the trash, give to relatives. Same difference.

I think everyone misunderstands the question though. I think most people think it means strictly return, not resell.

Edit: NVM, didn't see poll changed

This poll and the multitude of non-orthogonal choices presented (and the way those choices are worded) make me think you don't actually want/expect to get quality data.

EDIT: But maybe I'm taking this too seriously and that wasn't your intent. :p
