Okay, folks. These are the two contenders and I really can't make up my mind:

    G4
    Good Size!
    Better camera (this is debatable)
    Removable battery
    2TB expandable memory

    Moto X Pure
Too big! But, maybe I'd get used to it.
    Pure Android, no Verizon bloatware.
    Faster updates.
    Lower Price

    Thoughts?

I'm biased, but I've had all of the Moto X generations so far (Verizon Moto X developer edition, Moto X 2014, Moto X Pure) and I see no reason to switch to anything else. The biggest draws for me have always been that the UI is extremely responsive & bloat free, the updates are quick, and they're very affordable for unlocked phones. The battery on the new Moto X Pure isn't stellar, but the turbo charging functionality makes up for it IMO.

The modding/rom community seems quiet regarding the latest Moto X generations, so if you're into that sort of thing you may want to look to other options. In my opinion, the Moto X really doesn't need a custom rom to improve functionality since it's so close to stock as is (and I've used custom roms on every android phone I've had up until my first Moto X).

Yeah, Higgs, I pretty much agree with everything you said. I just can't figure out how I'll handle a phone that big :p

    Going from a GS4, that's a pretty significant leap.

I have a Moto G and used my buddies Moto X version one. Gotta say that I feel really confident in the quality of their products from here on out unless something significantly changes.

Ok, now I think I'm going to forego both options and pick up the LG V10. :p
