Interesting that you said that! Our last meet had the JBL 503s, overnight sensations, and kef ls50s. Speakers are no problem at all . I'd like to hear how the regular phillarmonitors sound. I heard the prototype phillarmonitors with the beryllium drivers but wasn't impressed. Could have been my room or my virtue one.3 lacking the proper power for them.

What are you driving them with?

 

Some cheap SMSL T-amp T_T. My friend has a D-class amp which certainly sounded better.. But I still love the sound DDD can't stop listening to it everyday.

Schiit is suppose to reveal 2 channel at RMAF(hopefully?) so just holding off until then.

 

That's a good call. If you're okay with it, i'd love to visit you with my Yggdrasil, jotun, and virtue one.3 sometime. Could bring my modded hd650s too of course if you're interested.

 

Sure thing, speaker stands will probably arrive sometime later next week or the week after. I'll let you know after I set them up better

I'm more of a lurker but I jump in here and there when I stumble into a thread that I can contribute something to.

Nice to meet some one else from my neck of the woods. Which part are you from? I'm in Mt. Eden/Claremont, along the Grand Concourse.

 

I was planning to drive to NJ to buy some Owens Corning 730 to build some bass traps and acoustic panels. Anyone wanna help or build together over the weekend?

I'm not in NYC anymore, but I am considering exhibiting at CanJam NYC. At $2K per table though, not sure it's worth it.

 

Holy shit, is that how much it costs for a table now? Do you know if there are any members tables or is it just for vendors? I'd love to meet you, but damn that's really expensive.
