New York SBAF Pyrate Cove

I would like to come too. Not sure if I can make it in time tomorrow afternoon though. Anybody interested in meeting on Sun morning?

 

Any thoughts on how much time I should leave myself to make the rounds without being rushed and meet up with everyone for dinner. I have to take my son to a chess tournament in Brooklyn in the morning. My wife will come down to relieve me so I can head over to CanJam. Probably won't be able to get to Times Square until 12 or 1. I think it is only open until 5 tomorrow. Having not been to a CanJam before I don't have a good sense of crowds versus a typical Head-Fi meet-up (understanding that nobody here has been to a CanJam in NYC before). Just curious how early people are going to arrive.

Saturday ends at 6 but typically there is a early rush at tables closest to the doors before spreading out maybe an hour or two in. If you are around lunch time there is usually a little calm around 1-3. I would probably hit up tables that interest you and that may only take 2-3 hours.

We're being told the attendance of this Canjam will probably be the biggest so far so might have to expect lots of people.

I'm down for Friday! For suggestions, can't say I eat out a lot in general, but Benjamin Steakhouse on E 41st St is awesome, but pricey as one would expect. Probably best to let the more well-informed decide.

@Josh is two seats over from me on the PATH train, wearing his andros. I actually recognized the andros first, the green stands out. It's crowded or I would awkwardly say hi ("remember me, I wrote math equations on your office whiteboard?"). Hi Josh!

 

I'll be driving through Manhattan on my way to Red Bank Friday night... I'll wave in the general direction.

I appreciate the invite and wish I could join. I have a certification exam tomorrow so unfortunately need to be up early. If it was in midtown it would be a different story.. Hopefully next time I'll be able to make it.
