Thanks for arranging this! I hope everyone who participates will enjoy it (plus there's so many tubes to try).
If anyone has any questions about the amp, I'll happily answer any questions anyone may have.

Looks like good shit, count me in for now. I might back out because I might be dispatched permanently to Chilliwack.

If I don't go Chilliwack I am good at all times. If I go Chilliwack I'm out.

Is the dispatching soon? We don't have an order decided yet, so we could bump you up front if necessary.

I'm in Vancouver as well, so if it does make it out here to the west, I would not mind a listen myself :) Thank you! And very good to see Canadian loaners :)

Edit: I just realized this amp is made right in Canada, which makes me twice as interested to try it, as I've been looking for a good SET amplifier for nearly a year.

It can happen any time in the next 2 weeks. I can't decide that.

Ok, the Makoyi is on it's way to @bxh . I put him first as he's got more time constraints on his end.

I will contact individuals for shipping particulars as it comes.

For those looking in and thinking to join, the shipping isn't actually all that bad (under $40) as I got all the goodies into a fairly compact box considering how much there is.

Bit of a delay. It seems something has stopped working in the Makoyi in transit from Armaegis to bxh, so I'm going to give it a quick checkup before sending it back out. Since it's coming from SK, the whole thing should only take a couple days to fix :)

Very interested in impressions for this amp. I just stumbled upon it when I was looking for transformer coupled tube amps. I'm curious how it pairs with HE-6/HD650.

I ran it through both when I had it. I've got some notes that are half assembled into a review that I really should post up on headfi soon.

In brief though, I was not disappointed with either pairing. We had a meetup here not too long ago and I had a few people compare the the Makoyi vs the Neurochrome HP-1. Worlds apart in sound signature, and it was rather universally agreed upon that the HP-1 was the "technically more proficient" one but the Makoyi was more "fun". Only one fellow did not like the Makoyi, but came back later when I had better tubes in it and found it significantly improved.

If I had to pick between the Makoyi or HP-1 for the HE-6, it would be the Makoyi. On the other hand, I preferred the HP-1 with the HD650.

I'm just sick of the usual flat and none layered sound stage of SS. I also want to go big and be done with it so I've been looking at the Stratus, Super 7(if I could find one), or Studio Jr(maybe).

I stumble across the Vincent Audio SP-331 hybrid power amp and it might be interesting paired with a Freya. Just not sure where to go since I use HD650 and HE-6 which are on opposite ends of the spectrum for their complementary amps.

It's a tough call... I am primarily an HE-6 user but have occasional side flings with the HD650. Mostly I just run both of them through a Bryston 2b which strikes a happy middle ground on all counts for me :D
