NY Mini Meet, July 17

Hi all!

Let's try to set up another mini meet for after the NY head-fi meet that's being hosted by @bozebuttons. I'm thinking something July would probably be best since that'll allow us to work out details and to secure a location. My uncle's apartment building in the bronx has a community room that we may be able to rent out, so I'll look into that.

I haven't been into audio much lately, but I'd love to hang out with you guys and see what new gear there is. Please let me know if you're available in July! Most likely this will be on a Saturday or Sunday.

Update 1 [2016.06.06] - July 17 is our date, and the location will be in Jackson Heights. $150 for the rental, which will be split amongst the attendees.

Yeah, that would be great. I am going to miss the NY head-fi meet because it is my son's birthday that day. Would love to get the NY SBAF group back together this summer. I can look into some space possibilities in Manhattan.

I'm gone for the 4th and the last weekend in July, but if it ends up being another weekend, I'm in!

I think the weekend before the 4th will probably be busy for many people. Personally, I'm also going to be busy from July 22-24 for Panorama.

 

Alright so I'll find out by tuesday if we'll be able to use that community room. I'm not sure how big it actually is, so I'll have to check that as well. I'm thinking July 9, 10, 16, or 17. Is anyone going to the HF meet?

 

I was going to try to make it out to the head-fi meet, yeah. Probably not going to bring any gear though.

As far as those dates, any work for me currently.

 

Well it looks like my uncle's place is out of question. It's going to cost $175 +$100 deposit fee. The deposit is refundable, but my uncle told me that they're probably going to find some excuse to not refund the deposit.

 

If people want to come out to Jackson Heights, Queens, we could use the party room at my co-op. It would cost $150 for the space ($125 + $25 cleaning fee). If there's interest and we settle on a weekend, I can take care of the reservation. The room should accommodate around 15 give or take, so it would only be $10 per person divided up.

 

I'd be fine with going to Jackson Heights as well!

 

Let's get a concrete date. July 17 good for everyone? If not, then state your preferred date. Ill have an attendance list up in just a moment.
