    Super excited to share this. From my favorite album of all time [a lost 90's classic].
    This is the first thing that hits the drivers of any new equipment that enters my home.

    @Superexchanger
    Along with SP’s Siamese Dream and Helmet’s Meantime, Downward Is Heavenward is my guitar test album. This is a legendary album that is largely unknown. Massive tube amp wattage coupled with solid state pedals, recorded well. Plus the kick drum is absolutely bowel shaking throughout. I crank Afternoon With Axolotls when I get home from a crappy day at work. Glad to see this is one of someone else’s favorites!

    King Horse was a perfect storm of hard core, metal and post-punk in my hometown. They were an effing unbelievable band that burned out too quickly.

    I don't think I've posted much on the punk side of this thread category. Fixing this now. Great group from Toronto.

    A few bands with more radical politics

    Fist lets start of with Leftöver Crack

    If you are more into a metal tinged sound then Propagandhi might be for you

    Or if you are into more cassical but well played punk Anti-Flag might be something for you

    New Bedford's finest punks. The vocalist was very kind to me once upon a time at an armory basement show in North Dakota. I had a broken, casted arm and the guy interrupted his vocals and helped me up immediately after he saw me fall somewhere near the front of the crowd line due to an aggressive pit.

    Anyhow, the bassist's dexterity here is out of this world and this is a serious ear-worm to me.

    More on the metal side, I can't get enough of the new Baroness. This song feels like a small universe onto itself.

    Has some metal elements to it but is more on the skate-punk side of things, I really enjoy their new LP:

    Not sure where the hell else do do this, but hey @Psalmanazar, have you had ears on either of the last two Baroness albums? If so, what's going on with the grain on those recordings? Studio guys aren't stupid, and I'm puzzled by the choice there. I have to respect the aesthetic choice (no way this was a "mistake"), but I don't hear this being done often (ever?).

    Curious if you've heard/had thoughts.

    No. Their music just sucks and their recordings sound like shit because they’re stupid and deaf.

    Goddamn that's rough. Ha.

    Anyway, been on a HUM kick, and I'll usually bounce back to Cave In's Jupiter when that happens. A good sample of that here:
