At AXPONA they were hinting at a 499 price. I wonder if they're getting hit with tariffs or need to claw back some margin?

Anyhoos, at 499 I suspect these will be the best speakers in their price range at the show. Grab a Bifrost MB or similar plus these and laugh at the people buying multi thousand dollar headphones.

I’ve owned DACs, amps, and all in ones from PS Audio over the decades and been disappointed with their setups at shows for a while. I wouldn’t be excited if I were you.

What I am really curious about are the Kii floorstanding speakers. I'd like to hear impressions if anyone has a chance

I thought the Vanatoo did a bunch of ADC->DSP->DAC conversions inside... wouldn't the Bifrost Multibit be a waste in that case? An Eitr might be a better source then.

We'll find the hell out. Eitr is a bad choice if they don't include coax ala transparent zero.

If anybody gets a chance, I'd love to know how the Aries Cerat Kassandra DAC sounds. If anybody gets a chance to listen to it at RMAF. I really wanted to go myself to listen to it, but work schedule conflict.

I had a chance to listen to the Kii 3 with BXT at a show last weekend
My conclusion nice sound but they are a little like Beckham however good a footballer he was the hype was still bigger.
Probably well worth for people who like the design and do not want to do much in terms of improving room acoustics.
Then if I had a speaker which goes down to 20 Hz anyway I would not place the bass extension ( needed to go louder not deeper) underneath said speaker. For the amount they charge for the bass extension you can get a custom made DBA in your room which allowed you to go louder and improve bass quality.

I got to hear them at a dealer in NJ. The soundstage from those little speakers was astounding. They have a dac and amp built into each speaker. They are also not so far out there $ wise that you have to be royalty to buy them.

Raidho looks like they'll be there. I've always been impressed by that tweeter - wish I didn't have to sell my family to own a pair.

True, Kii Three is quite the hardware and sounds very good indeed. Considering that it's a quality closed system, its price is high 20k but not crazy expensive all things considered.

Btw. if you good people visit this year's RMAF, we'll be there and we'll show something really cool from AMR.

How the hell do you listen to a DAC at a show? Unless everything in the same, the only way to listen to one component is to one change that one component in a system.

Look at scansonic. Basically, affordable raidho. They are supposed to have a new speaker line too; I’m hoping they have them at the show.

Anyone up for a late breakfast at pint brothers in the Marriott on Friday before the show? Maybe 9:30?
