    While I agree that tape can give incredible sound reproduction on the right system, WTF is up with all of these "top end" show rooms having practically no acoustic treatment? They are selling sound based on pretty looking gear in this case, not on the system's sound. I question the sanity of some of these "audiophool" guys.

    He should probably place little quantum particle absorbers only in the top 4 corners of the room to absorb quantum particles that could interfere with his perfect room design ;)

    El Nino in Pacific. 90F today. Will go down to 55F at night. I live in sort of a desert area 10 minutes north of Malibu. I've convinced CA will become a tropical paradise in 15 years.

    Bump. Lowered price on the VPI Classic 1 to $1600. It does come with an acrylic cover that completely goes over the turntable. Only considering local or Bay Area buyers at this time.
