Curious if anyone has additional feedback on how the G2 compares to the Yggdrasil A2/MiB?

Does anyone have a Holo Cyan 2, certainly interested in comparisons between the two.

@purr1n any way you can update this chart to include G2 and Mimir?

I bought the Cyan2 to replace my Gungnir Multibit 1A. After a month, I sold the Cyan2.

The Gungnir is more engaging. Haven't missed the Cyan2 for one second.

Oh, the BIG NEWS on Gungnir 2? The Forkbeard update with the five band parametric EQ. I can get rid of the DEQ2496 for this setup. I used the DEQ for the horn curve. I was about to model the network with caps, coils, and resistors, but Forkbeard will save me time. (Just running a cap on the compression driver).

The Faital compression drivers were courtesy of @philipmorgan. Faital makes some great stuff at much better prices than JBL. JBL stuff just costs more because they have the name recognition. All the great JBL stuff today was designed back in the day by engineers who are retired or dead. In fact, JBL stopped innovating a while back.

The Faital HF146 have a ring of neodynium magnets around the driver. Not cheap but amazing for the price. The high frequency extension is amazeballs (with some EQ, didn't feel a need for a supertweeter) and beyond what I expected. In addition, the sound is damn smooth, probably because of the Ketone Polymer (PEEK) diaphragm. Again, beyond expectations for a compression driver (especially on the Altec horn) which will typically sound a bit rough and unrefined.

Nobody and Top Gun 2 sounded great. Like in the movie theater, but even better because I am in a smaller space. Top Gun 2 was retarded though.

"Like in the movie theater, but even better". Wait, what do you mean? I am actually quite annoyed by how far behind the movie theater is behind my stereo. The last time I was at AMC with reclining chairs in central NJ (like the one pictured) at the "Wicked" the musical.
In 1-10 scale where 1 is boombox and 10 is Carnegie Hall, AMC Wicked is 3, "live" rock concerts 4, Broadway musicals are 5, and my stereo is 6-7. Perhaps, you just meant the volume? There yes, AMC can get quite impactful but it's just loud garbage, really.

Yes, the MILF is the MIB

The movie theaters I've been at have been very good. The ones in SoCal were all top notch, even the in the smaller cities outside of El Lay proper (Calabasas / Thousand Oaks). Heck, even the Santikos Palladium in San Antonio was very good.

By better, I mean more resolving, smoother, even cleaner/clearer, while maintaining impact and volume. In the much smaller home space, I can also pull off stuff like crossing over lower at 500Hz with the horns. The big venues can't run the crossover that low on the horns.

At this point I only go to AMC Citywalk for IMAX and insist on Dolby Cinema for anything else. Arclight in South Bay re-opened this year under a new name and it's clean and close to me but rather average technically.
